The Sanctuary:  A Place of Hope for Women
The Testimony of a Single Mother

Coming to Naomi's Daughters with two little girls has blessed
me so very much.  Before doing so I did not have a close
relationship with God,  and I did not read the Bible.  Now,  I
read Scriptures every day along with a daily devotion.

Our Bible study "Believing God" convinced me to trust my
Creator more and more each day.  I learned to affirm and
believe that "God is Who He says He is,  God can do what He
says He can do,  I am who God says I am,  I can do all things
through Christ,  and God's Word is alive and active in me."  I
found myself repeating these words throughout each day and
I still do.  Each time I say this five-statement pledge of faith,
I feel drawn closer to God.

Attending
Naomi's Daughters for the past two years has
created a desire for me to become a more godly person.  And
sharing precious moments with other single moms as we
worship,  study the Bible and have dinner together has
encouraged me and lets me know that I am not alone.
Probably the way that
Naomi's Daughters has strengthened
me the most is that I am trying to be a better mother.  I am
especially trying to be more patient and loving with my
children.  I am trying to be the person God wants me to be.

My little girls love coming to
Naomi's Daughters.  The older
one wakes up every Monday morning saying "church."  She
loves to socialize in the nursery with the other toddlers and
learn Bible stories.
